The 6th General Assembly of the SafeLog Project was held in Zadar, Croatia, on September 26-27, 2019. The GA was organized by KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute.

Representatives of all consortium partners participated in the assembly:

  • Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
  • Swisslog
  • Czech Technical University in Prague
  • Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb
  • Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics
  • KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute, Inc.

The partners, along with the discussion, presented progress on the project work packages for which they are responsible.

The activities are planned to be completed by the official end of the project (December 31st, 2019), with emphasis on the last integration workshop planned at the beginning of December at the Swisslog Development Center in Augsburg.

Also, it was discussed the potential for extending the duration of the project. It is agreed that the European Commission would be asked for a 6-month extension of the project, so that developed systems could be tested in a real environment (ie. in the right warehouse), and not just a laboratory. Additional arguments for extending the project duration are its presentation at the leading exhibition for smart automation and robotics Automatica and the fact that some of the allocated funds have been left unused, so the proposed additional activities can be financed.

In the end, the work of a prototype of the Safety Vest System was successfully presented to the representative of the advisory board.
