R&D Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (m/f)

Job Responsibilities:
- Research and develop models of the microgrids using analysis tools to verify stability, interoperability, or scalability of system architecture and network design
- Detailed equipment specifications (microgrid components)
- Analyze up to date standards and market demands regarding microgrids based on renewable energy sources
- Participate in design, integration, deployment, and commissioning of microgrids and microgrid control systems
- System approval test procedures, manuals, and other system-related documentation
Requirements:
- Sc./Master’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Working experience in a similar field of work
- Fundamentals of electrical engineering
- Working knowledge of the English language
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Teamwork and adaptability to challenges
- Commitment to continuous learning
Good to know:
- Experience with computer modeling/simulation tools of microgrid operation and utility profiles (PVSyst, Homer)
- Experience in PLCs programming and commissioning
- Experience in energy storage, solar and wind systems technologies, and architectures
- Experience in hydrogen technologies (electrolysis, fuel cells)
- Knowledge of communication protocols, e.g., Modbus, CAN bus, TCP, RS-485, RS-232
