After a very demanding, multi-month audit process that thoroughly covered our management system and laboratories related to the testing of power equipment, the KONČAR – Institute’s Laboratory Center received approval from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
The Laboratory Center is approved to perform type tests for the following power equipment:
- MV Power Cables
- LV Power Cables
- Oil Distribution Transformers (type and special tests)
- Cast Resin Distribution Transformers (type and special tests)
- RMU and SWGR
- Prefabricated Substation
- Current Transformers
- Voltage Transformers
- MV Cable Accessories
- Metallic Connectors
- MV Capacitors and reactors
DEWA’s primary business is the supply of electricity and water to Dubai, and it is considered one of the best utility providers in the world. DEWA owns and manages infrastructure for electricity generation, water desalination, water reservoirs, and electricity and water distribution networks and systems.
This significant milestone for our Laboratory Center means not only the expansion of our presence in the Emirates but also reinforces the support that our testing laboratories provide to our clients. DEWA approval is another proof of the competence of our laboratories and opens new business opportunities in the demanding market of the United Arab Emirates.
