Dalibor Filipović-Grčić, PhD, Head of High Voltage Laboratory in Transformer Department, won the Vera Johanides Award for 2013 granted by the Croatian Academy of Engineering (HATZ).

Dalibor Filipović-Grčić has made outstanding theoretical and practical contributions in the field of high voltage insulation systems and high voltage measuring and test techniques, what resulted in new products and services.

He has developed new criteria for the dimensioning of condenser type oil-paper insulation, a method for calculation of electric field on sharp electrodes, and a matrix model of autotransformer for short circuit calculation. He participated in the development of a number of insulation systems for instrument and power transformers, and gave a considerable contribution to realization of thermal stability test of bushings, and to accreditation of the test method. He has developed a procedure for indirect compensation of current loops which considerably increases the current source utilization factor.
