The President of the Managing Board of KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute Inc., prof. Stjepan Car, Ph.D. received one of the most prestigious state awards Red Danice hrvatske s likom Nikole Tesle for special merits in innovativeness and promotion of technical culture in Croatia and worldwide.
The Award was handed over by the President of the Republic of Croatia, prof. Ivo Josipović, Ph.D. at the closing ceremony of the 10th International Innovation Exhibition ARCA 2012.
ARCA 2012 took place from 10th till 13rd October at the National and University Library in Zagreb under the sponsorship of KONČAR – Electrical Industry Inc. At this occasion more than 430 innovations from Croatia and 13 from abroad were presented.
KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute Inc. won ARCA Award for the innovation Method for Winding Fault Detection of Synchronous and Asynchronous Machines by Ante Elez, Ph.D. and prof. Stjepan Car, Ph.D.
The same innovation was awarded IFIA Prize (International Federation of National Innovators’ Associations) for the best innovation at the 5th International Innovators’ Day organized in the framework of ARCA 2012.
The Institute was awarded bronze medal for Wind Turbine Control System for Strong and Turbulent Wind Regions by Mate Jelavić, Ph.D., Siniša Marijan, Ph.D., Mario Barišić, Ph.D., Zlatka Tečec Ribarić, Ph.D., Krešimir Ivanuš, M.Sc., Andrija Eršak, Boris Fučić and Josip Babić.
