The compliance of a product with technical requirements is crucial to ensure that it meets the essential specifications set out in relevant EU legislation. Our Laboratory Center has been chosen to perform tests on products that were deemed potentially non-compliant during the Joint Action. A two-day study visit to our Laboratory Center was organized as part of this cooperation. The purpose of the study visit was to enhance the knowledge and skills of representatives from Market Surveillance Authorities while conducting compliance assessments of electrical products. This visit to the laboratory provided an opportunity for inspectors to discuss tests relevant to the assessment of safety requirements of electrical products, the use of harmonized standards, the evaluation of test results, and reporting requirements. The experience gained from this study visit will contribute to appropriate decision-making regarding the compliance and safety of electrical products with technical requirements laid down in respective standards.
