Notice to users of laboratory services, certification and inspection services of the adaptation of activities and procedures to business conditions during the COVID-19 epidemic.

KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute, Inc. continues to provide testing, calibration, certification, and inspection services with the adaptation of certain activities. Thereby, two key factors need to be considered:

  1. adjustments and changes in activities and procedures do not compromise the technical requirements and quality of service delivery,
  2. all measures prescribed by the competent institutions are respected in order not to endanger the health of our employees and employees of our clients and partners.

Handling of the handover of materials and equipment for the purpose of providing services.

Entrance to the premises of KONČAR – Institute is limited and fully controlled. Depending on the location of the handover, adequate safety measures are prescribed, and the client will be informed in advance by the representatives of KONČAR – Institute.

We request our clients not to bring their materials and equipment without previous notice.

Field tests

Field tests, in consultation with the client, are conducted where it is possible to ensure all prescribed protection measures and social distance.

The presence of the client during testing

At the client’s request, his presence is organized in two ways:

  1. participation during testing through video, in compliance with the privacy policy rules
  2. physical presence, but only if it is possible to provide all prescribed protection measures

Maintaining the certification through conducting supervisory activities

In certification schemes, where supervision of the use of certificates through audit and inspection of production and control activities is envisaged, it is implemented in ways enabled by the current situation:

  1. physical control in the usual way, but only if the client can provide all prescribed safety measures,
  2. video conferencing, with the prior submission of evidence and records necessary to maintain the certificate, a minimum include:
    • review of issued products for the period from the previous control
    • records of the quality controls carried out: input, intermediate, output control
    • calibration certificates for devices over which the control is conducted
    • records of possible nonconformities in the process of production, and customer complaints.

The client will provide a sample of the product at the request of the assessor

The method of conducting the supervisory activities will be agreed with each client separately, which will be notified to the client on time. All privacy policy rules will be respected.
