16th International Innovation Exhibition ARCA 2018 was held in Zagreb from 18th to 20th October. The exhibition organized by the Union of Croatian Innovators gathered innovators from Croatia as well as other countries all over the world. New solutions were also presented by several companies within the KONČAR Group.
ARCA Silver Medal was awarded to KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute and KONČAR – Power Plant and Electric Traction Engineering Inc. team, for the innovation SafeHMI.
SafeHMI is a modular HW&SW platform developed especially for functional safety applications, assessed by TÜV SÜD for the highest Safety Integrity Level, SIL4 according to CENELEC standards EN 50126-1/EN 50128/EN 50129. This solution is a result of the collaboration of a project team lead by Mario Bilić (KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute, Inc.) and Davor Mraović (KONČAR – Power Plant and Electric Traction Engineering Inc.)
Gold Medal with Nikola Tesla’s Face by the Belgrade Association of Inventors was awarded to our project team for the innovation KonHMI – Driver-Machine Interface, the complete HW&SW solution for rail vehicle applications. KonHMI is fully customizable, modular, robust and reliable platform which includes an operating system and proprietary graphical programming tool for developing HMI applications, Grap Display. KonHMI is a result of research, careful planning, and collaboration of a project’s team members: Mario Šprah, Ivan Marinić, Tomislav Račan, Andrija Eršek, Mario Bilić, Boris Matjačić, Josip Batinović, and Marin Babić.
