A three-day technical training titled “Main Electrical Aspects Related to Transmission Lines” was held at our premises, bringing together experts and engineers from our Laboratory Center and R&D teams, as well as colleagues from Dalekovod, Croatian Transmission System Operator (HOPS), and Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute.

The programme focused on fundamental electrical parameters and phenomena associated with high-voltage transmission lines, with a particular emphasis on insulator-related challenges. Participants gained valuable insights into the effects of contamination, ageing, and mechanical stress on insulator performance, as well as diagnostic methods, failure mechanisms, and their impact on power system reliability and safety in accordance with international standards.

The lecturers from Independent Insulation Group (I²G), Mr. Igor Gutman and Mr. Andreas Dernfalk, contributed significantly to the quality and success of the programme through their expertise and experience.

The exchange of knowledge, practical experience, and best practices among participants from different organisations once again highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing the reliability and resilience of power transmission systems.
